So, after upgrading to Windows 10, your Elan Touchpad in your laptop functions fine, but you can't access the settings page.

To rectify this issue, you will need to be competent in using the Windows Registry Editor. The fix is as follows:

  1. Start regedit
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_USER\SOFTWARE\Elantech\SmartPadDisplay
  3. You must modify the data for every entry in this key, change them all to the numeral 1
  4. Exit regedit

Next time you open your Elan Touchpad settings, you will be able to access and modify all the settings.
